FDM is a patient focused approach to health in which we treat the patient, not their disease. Our objective is the discover and address the underlying cause(s) of a disease process or dysfunction so that your body can achieve improved health and wellness.
PREVENT disease and dysfunction by examining and focusing on the major factors of mortality and morbidity by:
- identifying the risk factors that can be reduced or avoided
- informing the patient if they have risks for developing a particular disease
- making the patient aware if they are at risk for developing a disease because of exposure to certain environmental agents
- helping the patient avoid, reduce and modify their risks with focused and individual treatment
DETECT disease and dysfunction early through the use of:
- focused patient medical history
- primary testing and gateway analysis including physical exam, in-office assessment techniques and in-office lab assessment techniques
- functionally oriented blood chemistry and CBC analysis techniques
- advanced functional diagnostic medicine testing as needed. Testing may include any or all of the following - digestive and GI assays, salivary hormone assays,
detoxification panels, allergy panels, micronutrient assays, adrenal stress profiles, metabolic profiles, or others.
TREAT the underlying cause(s) of dysfunction with any of the following that are deemed appropriate and necessary:
- lifestyle modifications
- therapeutic exercises
- structural support
- diet
- nutritional support
- stress reduction
- other treatments, as appropriate
PRIORITIZE the following objectives in delivering care:
- address the underlying cause elucidated by first and second line testing
- respect each patient's biochemical individuality
- focus on restoring the patient's physiological function
- and cause no harm to the patient
BENEFITS to the patient should include:
